Madeleines

Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 tsp almond extract
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour, sifted
  • 1/3 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 325 degrees F.

  2. Grease your Madeleine or small muffin pan.

  3. In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, combine the melted butter and sugar until smooth.

  4. Add the eggs and almond extract and combine on low speed until incorporated.

  5. Slow the mixer even more and add the flour little-by-little. Add salt.

  6. Combine on low speed until gently incorporated.

  7. Pour into each well and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly browned.

  8. Dust with powdered sugar and serve.
