Classic (but easy) Baked Alaska
Line a large mixing bowl with plastic wrap.
Scoop ice cream into the bowl.
Add the layer crushed Oreos.
Add the layers of pound cake.
Cover with a layer of plastic wrap and freeze while making the meringue.
In a mixing bowl whip egg whites on high speed.
Slowly add in sugar and cream of tartar and whip until stiff peaks form.
Preheat oven to 400 F.
Remove ice cream "bowl" from the freezer.
Remove plastic wrap and flip upside down on a cookie sheet.
Remove plastic wrap from other side.
Cover in meringue.
Bake for 10 minutes or until meringue is golden brown on the edges.
