UPDATE! The Cookbook – In Stores this December

May 20, 2021

Update!

Hello friends.

I sure have learned a thing or two during the cookbook publishing process! The publisher’s marketing team re-vamped my cookbook cover, so our new launch date in December 7th.

To say I am excited to publish this book is such an understatement. The opportunity to write a cookbook for kids is such an honor, and having the chance to work with a phenomenal publisher has been the experience of a lifetime.

I am so excited to share more details with all of you soon, so stay tuned!!

xo, Emily

Hello sweet friends,

Incase you have noticed, it has been a little while since I’ve posted on the blog. Things haven’t slowed down in our kitchen, in fact, they have catapulted into a super-speed baking vortex of insanity. Why? Well, I have written a book.

Months ago, a publisher reached out to me with the goal of developing a cookbook for children. After lots of talks, lots of baking, and an unbelievable amount of writing, the first draft of my manuscript is complete, and the book will be in stores September 21st. As we get a little closer to launch, I will be so excited to share more details about this sweet baking resource for kids.

The opportunity to write this book came as a complete shock. You see, I had a difficult time in school as a child. In fact, in middle school I had a teacher tell me that writing just “wasn’t my thing.” As you can imagine, hearing those words from an adult had an impact on my confidence, and piled up into a suitcase filled with insecurity which I lugged around into adulthood.

Once the writing process began, I was convinced my brilliant editors would laugh me off and change their minds about the right author for this book. I was totally confident with my recipes and my baking, no doubt – the writing on the other hand, made me feel like an imposter. To my surprise however, the editors were so happy and supportive, and the more chapters I served up, the more my insecurities melted away like butter!

I am so excited to share more about this book with all of you as we get closer to September. I am also exceedingly grateful for the opportunity to publish this book alongside my three precious children. In the meantime, our aprons business will continue to grow, and our blog posts will resume. Thank you for your love and support!
