Last night I was lying in bed with my son at the Grove Park Inn, and the television was on with the volume off.  Suddenly, my two year-old yelled, “Arbys!”  I looked at the tv, and the Arby’s logo was on the screen.  Knowing that my son can’t read at his age, I was wondering if I actually heard him say “Arby’s,” or perhaps it was just my sleepy mom-brain playing tricks on me.  I kid you not, then my son said, “WE HAVE THE MEATS!”  Oh no!!  Not only did he recognize the logo, but he knew the tagline!  At that moment, I realized my kids need less time with devices and screens, and more old fashioned quality time.  And if you are like me, instead of getting our children more tech toys for Christmas, they need gifts that encourage that quality time, and well, more BAKING!
